About taking pre-requisites in summer school...

Specifically, do dental schools prefer that you not take pre-reqs during the summer, or do they not care one way or the other? Thanks.

I also meant to ask another question. Is there a certain number of semester hours y'all would suggest not dropping below(14, 15, 16)? I plan on taking 13 or 14 hours this semester for credit & auditing a 4 credit Spanish class. Looking at my planned schedule over the next couple of years, this is really the only time I can forsee being able to audit this class. Think it'll hurt? Thanks, again.
