ABPMR vs AOBPMR board cert

Thoughts on pursuing AOBPMR board certification vs ABPMR. Are there any drawbacks? Currently applying for fellowship. Once in fellowship, granted it happens, would AOBPMR board cert have any negative impact?

Sorry iPhone fingers... Osteopathic residency board certification will not make you eligible to sit for allopathic fellowship board. Where I trained a fellow passed his AOPMR boards and had to take the AbPMR the next year to be eligible to sit for his allopathic sports medicine board. He went to a residency that was dual accredited.
