I know this is a CK question, but it also pertains to residency applications, etc. Basically I need CK by Feb 21. I have my exam scheduled for the Jan 17th, but want to know if the 22nd (Monday) would still work. I know the standard is 3-4 weeks (and of course I know there's a risk of additional delays in which case I'm in trouble, but that ship has already sailed). Would the 22st make much of a difference vs. the 17th assuming no delays in reporting?

Also, there was a thread in this in the Step 2 Forum, but no one answered that. @penguins123 this is why you don't delay CK in fall to the new year, at this point I would not mind 240 on CK one bit.

I'm not 100% certain why you're asking. Past posts suggest you're an AMG. In that case, you don't need CK for the match.

If the issue is that some programs require CK for ranking, you need to understand that many programs will finalize their lists at least a week prior to the deadline. There's no guarantee that anyone will go back and add you / change your rank position if your score comes in right before the deadline.

The absolute last date to take CK is the first day that you have adequately prepared and think you can score what you want to score on it. Waiting any longer is unnecessary, and runs the risk of forgetting what you've learned.

But more to the point of your question. If you take it on Thursday/Friday/Saturday, take it at least 3 Wednesdays before the date you need the score. If you take it Mon-Wednesday, take it 4 Wednesdays before.
