As a lot of you know, im headed to KCUMB. However Im still finishing my BS. On my AACOMAS, I had filled out the section of courses that were yet to be taken. KCUMB as well as others schools surley understand that this section is tentative.
Reason Im posting is, due to scheduling conflicts at my main University, I enrolled in a Calc course independent study from another Univerisity. (this wasnt in my aacomas). KCUMB declares that they have the right to dismiss any student pre-matriculation for omittance of academic records. I take this to mean a failure to send all transcripts and such. I will let them know via email AFTER my first exam to make sure I will not have to withdrawl. For those familiar with KCUMB, am I going about this correctly?

Thanks

Is this class one that they require? Or is it necessary for your degree? If so, you will probably have a problem. If not, you should call them and ask if its okay if you dump the class, and they will probably say its fine.

This sounds like the right approach to me. As long as it isn't a prerequisite for matriculation, I wouldn't sweat it too much. I think most folks understand that the "yet to be taken" section of the AACOMAS is tentative. Call the school and let me know you changed your plans and to see if it is okay. If there is a problem, ask them how to solve it. The admissions staff is very friendly at KCUMB and will try to help you. Let them in on what's going on so that they can help you properly.

Its required for my molec. Bio degree (BS). KCUMB doesnt require it, I will no doubt let them know of my enrollment in the course. I am just being slightly cautious by waiting until I pass my first exam.

TT what do you mean by a "problem". As in urgent to notify the COM?

I'm sure it's going to be just fine, as long as you keep admissions up to date and continue to work with them. Just let the admissions department know that you are taking an additional class at a different school and that you didn't plan on it originally (which is why it wasn't listed), but had to do so because of conflicts with scheduling. This is perfectly reasonable, in my opinion. My prediction is that they will be fine with your unplanned addition and will ask you to submit a transcript for that class. However, as long as you keep them abreast of your situation, I'm sure they'll let you know what must be done, if anything. 🙂
