Hey guys,

I'm having some trouble with designating the academic status for my semesters because of my AP and summer class credit:

2006-2007
APs - 17 credits
Semester I - 17 credits
Semester II - 17 credits

2007-2008
Summer classes - 12 credits (taken at diff. university)
Semester III - 18 credits
Semester IV - 18 credits

2008-2009
Semester V - 18 credits
Semester VI - 18 credits

2009-2010
Semester VII - 17 credits (future coursework)
Semester VIII - 16 credits (future coursework)

I believe that I am supposed to have only 30-35 credit hours per academic status, with senior status having no real limit. Would I be correct in designating:

Freshmen: APs, Semester I
Sophomore: Semester II, Summer classes
Junior: Semester III, Semester IV
Senior: Semesters V - VIII

THANKS!

Just do it by academic year. I was a "senior" by my forth semester but I still classified it as "sophomore." AMCAS didn't change it so I suppose it's right, or at least acceptable.

Do it by the start of your academic year. If you have enough to 'graduate' to the next level, classify it as that. I initially put it that I was freshman for my first semester, then sophomore for a semester, then junior and senior for a year each. They changed it so that I was a freshman for a year, a sophomore for a year, and a senior for a year.
