I hope any of you guys who have been accepted or know of someone who was in the same situation can help. I have already been accepted Dec 1st and put down a deposit to my dream school. Unfortunately the fall semester was rockier than expected and I ended up getting a C- and C (both science classes). Do you know what the schools will do after the academic update? I don't even want to think about them taking away my acceptance!!
Any sort of honest and informative help would be awesome, thanks!

Were they pre-reqs?

If not, then you should be fine.

I ended up with 2 Cs as well (both science).. As long as they are not Ds and Fs you should be fine.. i hope lol

I doubt this will become an issue as long as there arent Cs appearing all over your transcript (obvious response?)

I thought that once you get your acceptance, you just need to pass. As long as you don't fail, you are good. C's get degrees right? 😉

I've heard most schools just require you to pass your classes, just certain schools want a B or better grade.
I received a B- in one of my classes and the first thing I did post-acceptance was call the school I was going to place my deposit in and inquire about my B- grade. It sucks and it was scary knowing I might get rescinded but it turned out to be fine 🙂

I wanted to make a clear distinction between the C- and a C grade when posting this. The post-acceptance letter indicated that we must get at least a C grade on remaining courses. I am hoping someone can answer whether this is a strict rescinding action for a C- or if its more of "don't completely slack off" warning. I am hoping they will be cool about it and just let me officially enter the new class.

Who's they?

I would talk to them ASAP! If you don't tell them, they would question why you didn't mention anything once they receive the final official transcript before entering dental school. Not to scare you, but the dental school that I got accepted into requires students to have a B- or better in all remaining coursework and if we don't meet that, our acceptance will be "reconsidered" by the adoms. Talk to them sooner than later, it'll help and show them that you really do care rather than hiding the facts until last minute.

Read your acceptance email. Some schools would want you to just pass. HOWEVER, there are a few schools that want nothing lower than a B.
