I go to a University which goes by the quarter system. In the Planned/In Progress classes do I have to put down the classes that I am taking in the spring quarter even though I am not positive that I am going to take those classes?

I had this same question when I was filling out my coursework section. I ended up not putting the spring courses down when I originally filled out the application, but then added them during my academic update because I had a few schools that sent me e-mails asking me if I was planning on taking some of their course requirements. If you don't put the courses down, they won't know that you plan on taking them - and thus may think that you won't meet their requirements.

You definitely need to submit all of your planned courses in the Academic Update whether you'll actually end up taking them or not. If schools see that you don't plan on taking some of their prereqs then obviously they put the red flag up on your app.

I was on the semester system but was planning to take summer classes after graduation to fulfill some prereqs I still needed. Also, I applied to schools that required a mix of prereqs so I made sure to include in my planned coursework section classes that covered the prereqs to ALL the schools I was applying to even if I wasn't sure at the time I was actually going to finish applying at all of those schools.

Get the academic update in quickly because schools are waiting on that tidbit of your application.

I just entered all the classes that I need to take to fulfill the requirements for all schools, even though it is highly unlikely that I'll be taking all those classes in the winter and spring quarters and in the summer time.

The only thing right now that I'm kind of :scared: (and a bit 😡) is that 2 community colleges haven't finished posting the fall grades and calculating my GPAs, so they can't send out the transcripts to PharmCAS and one other school that doesn't participate in PharmCAS. I mean, for other schools, they would be done even before winter break. These 2 CCs said they will hopefully send out the transcripts by the end of next week. So, probably PharmCAS won't calculate my GPA and send out the new grades to the schools until February.

Anyone know how long it usually takes for pharmCAS to recalculate our GPAs after receiving all our transcripts?

thanks
