I would like to know when is the academic update period starts in November? Gimme exact date.

bump. so the kid can get an answer on the exact date. I looked for it but did not see an exact date

I asked my admissions officer at NYU during my interview...can't remember for sure but I think she said something like Nov. 14th? She said it STARTS mid-November, and then you can send in any info you want after that. Usually, that means once your semester has ended. But she said it wouldn't matter for pre-dec interviews, since you'll know your status on December 1st before the semester ends.

This may be a silly question, but is the academic update purely academic? Like for transcript grades? I would like to update schools on what I've been up to since I have new dental related activities to add to my application. Should I just e-mail schools individually sometime this week of these new developments?

If I remembered it correctly, AADSAS will send out an email to notify you when the academic update period starts.
So just hang in there and wait patiently.

@okiedokeartichoke Yes, it's purely academic, for transcript grades, for planned course change. If you have additional ECs, more shadowing hours, new awards, new scholarships, you getting married, you buy a new house, all that jazz is on you to notify individual school.

The thing is that in the ADEA website says that we will receive a notification 30 days prior to the start of the academic update 😕

So, this year either the academic update will be in December or we won't receive a notification "30 days prior to it's initiation "

ACADEMIC UPDATE STARTED. I just went to my coursework section and I was able to change "planned" stuff to "completed".
