Academic Update?

So, my application was already verified and I've received application complete emails from all the schools I've applied to. I just received an opportunity to do some undergrad research this semester, and it will count as credit hours. Should I go ahead and add this to my application during the academic update? I'm just worried how changing something during the academic update will change my application status. Like will my application need to be verified again or anything of that nature that postpones adcoms from seeing my application?

Just to clarify, I don't have any grades to input but I do have some changes to the courses I plan on taking.

I don't think you'll be delayed/anything "bad" will happen. The only thing, though, is that if you have matched any courses to schools and now those are changing, you won't be able to delete them.

Also the first update opened yesterday (8/15) so you could add it any time from now until 9/28.

Not entirely sure... I think you should have your transcript received by them asap. I'm sure if you sent them in now, they'd be received by Sept 28th- that's more than a month from now lol.

It would best to ask ADEA directly on if the transcripts must be received before the deadline.

You don't have to but schools will see it eventually (such as when you update fall grades).

They may. Schools want to know you're continuing to maintain your grades (ie, not slacking off/senioritis), and the only way they know is if you update your grades for them to see.
