This might be kind of a dumb question, but I'm halfway through filling out secondaries and realize my LOR's are not going to cut it for one school. I've got two science professors and a shadowing physician. But they want a non-science faculty. What do you all think about a health and wellness professor? That is the only "non-science" faculty I've had since 2013 but it's still kind of sciency. I just don't know who else to ask at this point.

In what discipline did the professor get his/her most advanced degree? What was the course name , prefix, and number? (Like BIO 210, HEAL 420, etc)

Education (Ed.D) it looks like. And BS/MA in Biology/Health Science. So... looks pretty sciency. Didn't think to look that up so thanks. Not sure what I'm going to do now. I can't even remember the names of my non-science professors and it's not in my records lol.

"Health Science" is not considered to be a hard science by AMCAS med schools (and doesn't get included in the BCPM GPA of the application. You might still be able to make a case that this is "Non-science Faculty" who taught you, unless the course prefix on your transcript is BIO.

Nope! It's "WELL" as in "Wellness". Thank you so much! I'll shoot him an email. I suppose worst case they'll see that I tried to abide by their rules.

Another thing I realized... Do you think it makes a difference if they are adjunct/part-time faculty?

Thanks! I'm pretty sure it's attached on the request form but I will double check and link him in case he doesn't see it
