Hello Guys,

How do dental schools accept/waitlist/reject applicants AFTER the interview?

I know for some Canadian Dental schools the adcom make their decision PURELY on the interview scores and your GPA, DAT and EC do not matter (everyone who got invited for interview is on the same ground after the interview).

I am wondering if USA dental schools do it differently. If so, do you guys have any idea on the rough evaluation (for example, 50% GPA/20% Interview/10% DAT/20% EC).

Any insights and information will be helpful!

Thank you!!

On the University of Louisville's website they state that they use a scoring system where 60% comes from GPA, DAT and 40% comes from ECs and interview. I'm sure they have different thresholds for wait list and acceptance. But if you asked 50 different adcoms and they were truthful you'd probably receive 50 different answers.

That sounds ridiculous. I'd love to hear their system for quantifying things like ECs and interviews.😆
