I am new at this whole process and was wondering how long you usually have to get back to a school after being accepted. I mean it would seem that the school would give you a chance to participate in all your interviews but I did not know if that is how it works or not. How long do schools usually give you until the offer is no longer on the table. I have not interviewed yet but will start fairly soon so I sort of want a better idea about the whole process. Thanks! 😀

i am thinking it depends when in the application phase you are interviewed. i got accepted to CSPM and they gave me 3 weeks to sign on the dotted line

Is that three weeks to sign or three weeks to sign and fork over a grand?

OCPM gives you 4 weeks to send in the deposit. You can still interview even after you have sent in the deposit at your expense...So the schools do let you go to all of your interviews, if and only if you can shell out the big bucks!

is there really not a payment plan or anything for people that dont have that sort of money lying around? seems a little socioeconomically discriminating if that is the case :scared:

sign as well as 1000 deposit! yeah you lose the deposit if you want to withdraw to attend a different school.... i think the only reason you would want to lose that 1000 grand is if you find a place where you can't be without or they give you an awesome scholarship somewhere else

I was actually wondering the same thing. After spending so much money on flights, hotels, applications you would think they would cut us some slack?! 😕

I bet if you explained your situation they would let you do a payment plan. Or at least I would hope so!

One thousand grand? Isn't that 1,000,000? There's no way I would give up that much money 😛

Lol I have a feeling I am going to be one of "those kids" that has several deposits out before I decide where I'm going. It's all worth it in the end, right?

haha

In regards to CSPM, they should give you a full month to send in a deposit. I had an error on my acceptance letter which only gave me 10 days (I e-mailed them and it was fixed). So if you only have 3 weeks and need more time, I would definitely contact them.

Furthermore, some schools may grant you extensions for the deposit due date. One school gave me an extra month.
