Acceptance Questions Regarding Admission and Confirmation Deposits

Hey guys. I'm new to the forum and am going to fill out applications for the next cycle (so hoping to start school in september '09). I was just wondering when it is that you have to accept an acceptance from American schools and approximately what the deposit cost is? The problem is that I want to apply to the Canadian schools as well, although it'll be a long shot, but the Canadian schools don't typically send out acceptance letters before June at the earliest. I'm hoping that if it's possible I can stay in Canada so I can save a little dough on tuition, although I think the states has some really awesome schools.

Depends on the school and when they accept you. December 1st is the first day they can tell you if you're accepted or not. and then you have a month or so afterwards to hold your spot without money. Schools usually continue accepting kids until May or June, some even send out acceptances in August if needs be.
