So I was under the impression that the earliest you could get an acceptance was Dec. 1st (or this year Dec. 3rd I believe since the 1st is on a weekend.) Anyways, I was just talking to a dentist that graduated from dental school in 2007, and he said if they really like you, schools will give you a call a week or two after you interview with an offer. Is this true? Maybe it used to be true, but changed in the 10 years or so since this dentist has applied to dental school? Anyone who got accepted last cycle know if acceptances were ever given out this way?
Also, if this is wrong, and acceptances aren't given until Dec. 3rd at the earliest, how are applicants usually notified? Is it an email, on AADSAS, or do you get a phone call? Or does it vary? Thanks in advance for answers!
