I guess these could be bad news. I just called Temple and they have accepted 158 people already. She said that they will put us on a number system later on, for those of us that were put on the waiting list.

a fair amount of people it seems from this board are going to decline temple. from the looks of it.. so im sure you still have a chance.

3.5 GPA (3.3 Science and 3.8 non-science)
No BS
74% pcat (My reading and Verbal scores were below 50% that is why my composite is so low)
Retail Pharmacy exp. for 2 years.
Yeah, they are not spectacular at all.

no letter today.. i am in northern delaware.. it took me 2 days to get my interview letter so im pretty sure ill get it tomorrow..

your stats arent bad at all! your gpa is right around their average and your pcat isnt too far under theres plus you have experience. i am SURE that you will eventually wind up getting in!

I am going to tomorrow. I called a little over a week ago and the lady told me that they hadn't made a decision and that i should know a week or two later. I was going to give them some time so they wouldn't think I was being annoying.

Thanks Carbox., I've been put on two alternate lists, both at Midwestern - Chicago campus and Glendale campus, and haven't been accepted anywhere. Temple is definitely my first choice, and I hope I get my letter soon. I am going to call tomorrow just to see when my letter was sent. I am hoping and praying I get into Temple, or I may have to apply next year.

yeah that would be pretty cool if you got pulled of the wait list.. im crossing my fingers for you!

my stats are
3.49 gpa, so basically a 3.5.
85% pcat score
working in a pharmacy since jan '06.
two of the pharmacists that wrote me letters of rec graduated from temple, so im not sure if that helped at all.

oh and one last thing, i created a facebook group for those of you accepted to temple. im kind of a facebook nerd and like to stalk people for fun, who doesnt?

Hey guys,

I called Temple yesterday and she said that they had barely just sent off my letter the day before, so I probably won't hear until Wednesday of next week. I hope I get in, and Carboxilic I hope you get pulled off the waitlist. Did you notice that on the accepted page someone said they were going to deny Temple? So there's one more chance you'll get in. I'll be pulling for you. Well guys I'll keep you posted.

If they've already admitted the 158, that makes me verrrry nervous about my chances... My interview wasn't until Monday (4/2), so I just missed the last round of letters that were sent out. Now I have no idea whether the most I can hope for is to be waitlisted for now or even how long I'll have to wait to hear...

Anyone else who had their interview this past week that might have found something out??

anyways, if anyone wants to get an apartment in manayunk or rocsborough with me that would be awesome! im looking to get a 3 or 4 bedroom apt..

thanks, (congrats back, swimrxer!) and yes, jenny.. i am really excited!! i thought it was hard to focus on my studying before when i was worried, but now i'm too happy to sit down and study lol... although i need to since i have a quiz tomorrow.

i'm from northeast pa, but i'm an undergrad at temple now. i've already got my housing worked out for next year near main campus, but good luck finding a place & roommates! i know a grad student who lives in manayunk, and it's really nice there.

i had an interview on Apr. 3 (it was kinda late hehe), and today i just recieved the letter that says i'm on the waiting list. i have no idea about what my position (or ranking) is on the waiting list..

To all who were accepted, what did the envelope look like? Was it a big envelope, regular envelope, thick or thin? I am just wondering because some said it was regular and others said it was bigger. Thanks guys and I'll let you guys know later today if I get my letter!

heyy...
my envelope was pretty thick.. it probably had 10-15 sheets of paper in it, which i thought meant i got on the waiting list.. but it was all the information for the fall.

i didn't see my envelope since i'm not at home, but that was the first thing i asked my mom when she said my letter came, lol. so when she told me it was "pretty fat," i told her she could open it since it had to mean i'd at least gotten on the waiting list. but yea, she said it had a bunch of papers in it and was thick.

also, my stats were 94th percentile overall for pcats and 3.65 cum. gpa. no previous job experience, just 8 hrs. shadowing. and i wouldn't say that my interview went great... just ok. so if either of those are factors for anyone else, they didn't end up hurting me in the end like i'd worried about, so hopefully that helps to know.

B.A in economics, more than 100hrs volunteer at hospital pharmacy...
yes, i applied other schools, but don't see any hope.. so,, i guess temple is my first and last choice..
how can we wait until september?? i don't understand that,, doesnt school start in august??
