means the adcom met the day after your interview, probably to review all the people that were interviewed within the last month....so, i can see how it could happen

it can happen if the adcom meets on the day of the interview.

when I applied 2 years ago I had 2 results that were "near instantaneous"... 1 took 24 hrs the other was on the spot.

that happened to a friend of mine. he just interviewed and was accepted the next day. must be nice to know and not have to wait for three months.

When I interviewed at USC, I had already been accepted to Marquette and BU. Thus, I asked them if I could have an answer on Monday (I interviwed on a Friday) since my deposits for both schools were due. So in a couple of days I had my acceptance. Needless to say I was extremely happy..GO TROJANS!!
