Lets say December first you get accepted to your number 2 school and put on the alternate list at your number 1. Do you pay the hold spot fee and wait for your number 1?

i would put the deposit down on the #2 as late as i safely could as i waited for my #1. Should i get into my #1, i go. Should i not, i don't go, but i am still guaranteed a spot in my #2. Seems like the only option lol 👍
are you serious?
Absolutely! I would suggest waiting as long as possible before putting your deposit down but if the due date is approaching there is no doubt that you should slap down that measly 500-$1500 deposit. In the end it is a small amount of money to secure yourself a seat in dental school (your #2 school at that).
If you some how don't get off the waitlist for your #1 school then you saved yourself another year of applying or the chance of getting accepted to your #4 school and no others which would force you to attend there.
If you do get off the waitlist at least you had a very good security net and did not lose a ton of money.
Good luck!👍
