Accepted - Background Check Question

So the background check form for Certiphi just came out. I'm a dual citizen (with Canada), and it seems like I have to report both my US and Canadian social #'s...I'm looking into it and getting my Canadian social appears extremely onerous.

Is it absolutely necessary to also provide it? I've been filling out the form without the Canadian number and the form lets me proceed so..maybe its not required?
