Accepted Med Students STATS (GPA/MCAT)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I just want to add that although it may seem to all of this cycles applicants that this is important information to know....its not. I was there a year ago, I desperately wanted to know everyones stats to gauge what kind of chance I had. Now I understand that it was a complete waste of time. What are you going to do with that information that is going to make an ounce of difference?

Worry about making yourselves the best possible applicants (more than just the numbers) rather than trying to see how many 3.0 gpas or 22 MCATs got accepted. Good luck!:luck:

The answer is on the AACOM website. http://www.aacom.org/data/annualreport/ASROME2006.pdf Here it will tell you the average MCAT score and GPA necessary to apply to DO schools. Again they are averages meaning some people have higher and lower stats and are accepted.
