I didn't score in the 90's. So you can take my advise or leave it. I understand what you are going through, the most nerve-racking days. If I were you I will do and redo the stuff you have concentrated on. If you think you studied the decks the best, do and redo them. If it's the papers then do that. It is quite normal to be nervous and to forget everything you have studied. This is not the end of the world fortunately. When you look back at it, you will wish you hadn't worried so much about it!! Don't worry, I think you will be fine.

PS - nor am I accepted. 😳

Hi sweetgal,

I feel bad for your disappointment but replies to your post are already strewn all over this forum. Under respective threads on various dental schools a number of candidates have posted their experiences of interview, preparation method for NBDE and and materials used, first or second time and various other experiences about visa, loan etc etc. I think it is really time consuming to duplicate even one's own post, and the recollections may not be as accurate as it was first time round. I have several postings on different relevany topics, e.g. interview experiences, preparation materials, student loans etc. But if you ask me a specific q on any of them I have to re-research or try to recll a a year old experience and post. Please tell me who has that kind of time? Anyway SDN has a wealth of informations and if you want to find something the use keyword/s in search. It's time consuming but I don't see any better way.

I also agree with g3k completely about preparations. Anyway you have less than 2 weeks to go for your exam. It is too less a time to follow anyone's advice. If you don't feel confident about taking the exam then postpone it. There is no point going for the exam unprepared or lacking confidence. One can retake these exams but it's not easy to start over again and better to get it right first time. This forum is always here for any real world help. Good luck with your exam.

Hi there sweet.
I agree with Rahmed on that with only 2 weeks left for your exam, it's probably best to continue doing what you have been doing ... too many new/different opinions may confuse you at this point and can prove to be a waste of your most precious last minute preparations.

Having said all that, I can tell you about my own little nightmares ... ?
I had the same recurring dreams ! 😀 It was horrible ... I was sitting in a huge exam hall, which seemed to be empty ... you could hear your own breath ! Oh man, it's all coming back to me now ... why did you have to remind me ? Just kidding. It was almost like I was in the wrong exam ... I would sit there starring at the paper, not knowing what to do, and the only thing on my mind then was that I had to leave the exam and go home and study all over again. Some other times, after I fell asleep, I would try to remember things I had previously studied that day. I would get really frustrated when I could not remember them.
My point is, yes, it is normal.

Since you asked, if I could have done something differently to score better on part I (I got %81), it would have been to take some time off work. I barely had enough time to study as I was working full time, and felt that I could have used some more time for my final revision.
Opposing the popular theory, I stuck to the decks (2001) and the relesased ASDA exams ('79 to '98 I think). That was it ... I did not even have time for anything else if I wanted to. I thought they were sufficient, but still, I bet some one else has better tips for you than me on that issue.

Just like g3k said, someday you will wish that you would have been easier on yourself about this exam, and will wish that you hadn't stressed as much. And by the way, you will NEVER feel that you are ready for it. As long as you feel that you have covered all your studying material at least twice and one more time for revision, that is it. Just go for it. I found that people postpone their exam out of fear, not a lack of prepardness.
I hope you do fine ... being worried is always a good sign.
Good Luck.

hi sweetgal,
firstly wishing u all the best for ur preparation!i know u will do fine....
getting nervous...this is a good indication of ur preparation, trust me!i alwayz get nervous before as well as during any exam...so does most of the people out here..i believe!just be confident and keep on revising the same things u studied before.dont try to study anything new for the exam...it makes the matter worse!...well thatz what i did atleast!
revise..revise... revise...as much as u can!go thro' the test reprints just before the exam..this might help u fetch a good score!
getting a score of 90+is not at all an impossible mission!u can acheive ur target if u r devoted, motivated and dedicated towards ur studies and i presume u r ...
i also thought that i would never touch 90...but i did!everything is possible !
so...GO GAL GO...GET THEM!U CAN DO IT!PROVE IT TO URSELF THAT NOWAY U R GONNA DRIFT AWAY FROM UR DREAMS!
take care!
fido!

hi sweetgal...

U got good advice and i know, these people have helped so many like u n me.

With all said in the above threads,i would like to add a lil note....
During the exarm,do not expect to see a lot of good que from teh old papers,
there might be new and strange que,but the key is too KEEP YOUR CALM and concentrate on the question u r doing.Do not get nervous abt the previous ques.

Believe me we dont want a good test, but a good result, and atleast i think there is a difference.anyways......be confident.....as u know its not teh end of the world.

And i wish u all the best for ur testh.

Thank you sweet. Thanks for the nice words.
You really are exaggerating about my efforts. I am doing nothing special.
I wouldn't count on me replying to all of the threads though ... you know, a lot of the threads here are becoming duplicates. If you need me to reply to anything in specific, please just PM me.
Good Luck.
