I was just accepted to NYU and I'm still waiting on my decision for Hunters program. I would like to get opinions from people (hopefully those enrolled in the programs) about the pros and cons to each. Besides money, the actual coursework, job opportunities, etc.

I was admitted to theIr school counseling and guidance program.

I was also accepted to the NYU school counseling program and would love to hear more about it!

So, while I was surfing SDN I wanted to give an update on Hunters Counseling program. I was accepted into NYU and Hunter but I went to Hunter. I did because of the obvious TUITION . I received a scholarship from NYU and it still did not compare to the tuition I would pay at Hunter. Hunter's program is amazing. My only suggestion is that I wouldn't do school counseling because your options are so restricted in terms of practicing and there are very few school counseling jobs Ava. Best of luck. Feel free to pick my brain about the program.

I guess that answers your question OP.

Well I never got my question answered, which is why I wanted to come back and help others. I still have no idea how NYU's program is, at this point I don't care, but if others have questions about Hunter's program I'm here.
