Has anyone on here been accepted to medical school with a late application (November/December)?

I haven't seen many. Most people on here are just complaining about it. But someone started a thread listing what schools have already given out their rejections.

It happens. But I wouldn't call it bettin' odds.

Has anyone on here been accepted to medical school with a late application (November/December)?

Yeah, and it's almost always entirely at a school that have non-rolling admissions.

e.g. OHSU.

I have gotten an interview at a school that I submitted my secondary during the first week of november...

Yeah, but then you might be interviewing for a position on their waiting list.

I have a non-SDN friend who submitted on basically the last day for each of her schools. I'll let you know if she gets in. She does have 3 interviews (hawaii, seattle, reno) so far.

I completed some in October.

A friend of mine, who applied a couple cycles ago, finished most of her apps in november. Still got a handful of interviews. Ended up going to a top 5 school.

I know someone from a few years ago who submitted AMCAS in September, didn't begin interviewing until December, and was eventually accepted to Stanford, WashU and Yale.

Submitted most of my secondaries late Oct/ early November.

Accepted to 3 schools 😀.
