so my mom just came over to my dorm to give me a package that came in the mail today and it's an acceptance letter from NYU!!! I just had my interview just last week and I already got this! I think they must have sent my letter out early by mistake 🙄

wow i'm so relieved to get an acceptance letter already!! too bad i don't want to go to this school if i get into my top choice cuz its so expensive.

But for those who are wondering..the nyu letter came in a big thick envelope in a folder explainig about the deposits and the procedure if i choose to go there.

you may have to scan your acceptance letter to make this believable. Because this goes against ADA guidelines.
 
Yeah, that is kind of early--Earliest is supposed to be Dec. 1. If you're not kidding, then congrats. 😉 .

its legal as long as they give you until jan 15 to make your deposit...at least that is what i heard from one adcom at an interview

POOR NYU... Sending out an early acceptance letter... Then to have it posted on SDN... I feel sorry for them on monday.... CONGRATS THO!!!!!

NYU was probably on crack that morning and decided to pull a prank on a bunch of applicants.

Dude I've already left them 10 messages..."why the .... didn't I get a package" things like that...sorry if I caused you problems🙄
 
Hey guys.. I just got my Harvard acceptance. It came in a Thick envelope full of cash.. they probably sent mine early by accident as well.. funny thing is i didnt even interview there.. oh wait.. im checking my mail and just found another acceptance to the Hawaii school.. wow.. i didnt even apply there and theyre not even open..
Everyone start congratulating me now and start getting worried..

ps- i have the pulaski bridge for sale.. Cheap. like new.. hardly used.. PM for more details..

WOW! Congrats man! Holy crap...I've got to get the the phone and call hawaii...I got mine from harvard today also...but where is that damn letter from hawaii...
 
Come on now....you know for a fact that is not true...now you have to watch your identity b/c NYU is going to be busy monday moring with 1,000 phone calls asking if they've sent out acceptance letters.... :meanie: :meanie: :meanie: :meanie:

i get this inkling the OP did receive a packet and now is just scared about this whole thing backfiring. I am pretty sure NYU cheated, haha. Btw, if you are going to come by ucla, give me a call, we can go for lunch or something.
 
Thats kinda weird that you would get accepted so early but I do know that they accept people before dec 1 if they applied last year, did you apply last year??

If a school were to accept you for the following school year, then the acceptance letter would still have been sent out the year of the application. Obviously the OP was joking around.
 
He joined SDN November 19th (yesterday) and posted he was accepted the same day.

Come on people...

Yeah man, some people are just quick to believe the very first thing they read. This is why there's a thing called evidence. It's a really interesting concept, don't you agree 4thquarter? 🙂
 
just so u guys know- last year's class received an email first saying they got in and may be doing it again that way this year...
just something to consider
