This is for non-retail. (ie. hospital)
So when getting a job offer from an employer. If you accept the offer....but then a month AFTER you already accepted the offer...you get a better offer somewhere else. What do you do?

When accepting a job offer are you legally bound.
Does it look really bad to decline after you accepted, or does this happen now and then.
Therefore...should you always accept a job offer until you get something better?

Thanks for the info

That's when you look into everything before making a decision. People usually decline BEFORE deciding on accept any of the offers.

So you would then turn down a better job offer 3-8 weeks later

I just feel Id be kicking myself for the next so many years

I know it's tough, but sometimes it's what you have to do.

On a slightly related note, I know one guy from my school who picked grad school instead of pharmacy school because he found out about grad school way before hearing from pharmacy school. I think he hasn't looked back on it though.

If you like your coworkers and patients, then you'll like your job.

Thanks for the feedback!

Anyone else have any experience with this?

Pharmacy is a very small world and people talk all the time. If the two hospitals are pretty close to each other, then you may have a problem somewhere down the line.

If it was me...it will depend on how much better the other job is and if the other hospital can find a person by the time you were scheduled to start. If you're thinking about accepting the new offer, I would speak with the old hospital's director and offer to pay back any expenses that they have made for you.

That.
