Hey everyone,
So since mid May I was observing at an OT facility for pediatrics. Going great. Have about 20 hours and also some hours helping an OT with her business online.

I was recently in a bad accident and in the hospital for a week and am not home recovering. Due to my brain injury, I cannot drive, work, observe OT, pretty much do anything for a couple more weeks. Only thing I can do is work on my personal statement.

Anyways, I am stressing out because I will probably only meet the minimal requirements for observation hours. Most schools want 40ish and I should be at that when I apply. I am not sure if I can submit hours but also note that the hours will continue to increase even after I apply. Will this hurt my chances? I was hoping to observe at a second facility but I do not see that as being an option anymore.

I am done with my pre reqs and all are A's, except my psychology classes from undergrad which are B+. And I will have terrific LOR.

Would appreciate any advice! Thanks

First, I hope you're doing better - your health and well-being is more important than OT school admission right now...

I think that once you recover, you can send in more shadowing hours, even after you complete your application. They will just update your file. You got this, it seems like your grades are great and you have some solid experiences... good luck!
