No, you will not be a reapplicant.I accidentally opened an application for 2018 matriculants. I didn't enter any information, and obviously I didn't submit the application to AMCAS. But there is a section below the open application that says "According to our records, you have not started or completed an AMCAS application in any of the past 5 application cycles." When I start an application for 2019, will it then show up as my having starting an application for 2018, and would I be counted as a re-applicant? Again, I haven't indicated any schools, or submitted the application for processing to AMCAS. Currently, it's just open and says "Application- In Progress", and on the Application Status History tab "You have initiated your AMCAS application but your application has not been certified and submitted to AMCAS."
It needs to stay open for the entire 2017-2018 cycle in case an applicant needs to change, eg, their contact information. How is that application even open?

Sorry, I don't know. But why wouldn’t they just make it so that current applications can be changed but no new ones can be started?
Nah you fine broHi,
While trolling around through the application portal, I accidentally opened an application for 2018 matriculants. I didn't enter any information, and obviously I didn't submit the application to AMCAS. But there is a section below the open application that says "According to our records, you have not started or completed an AMCAS application in any of the past 5 application cycles." Sorry for being a bit of an idiot about this.
