I know some of you have had questions about course repeats (myself included), so I thought I would put their "official" response as I just received it.
The reply below was in response to my question to them regarding replacing a course with another course at a different college that had a different course title, yet similar course description.
Good Morning,
AACOMAS cannot pre-approve courses to qualify as repeats. When you classify a course as a repeat, the understanding is that the content of the two courses is similar. Usually this is obvious from the names of the courses. If this is not clear, we may ask you to provide course descriptions for each of the courses so that we can review them and make sure that they are indeed similar courses. From the information that you have provided, it appears that the course you are inquiring about would replace the earlier course. However, please be advised that this is a preliminary answer and we will not be able to give you a definitive answer until you start an AACOMAS application and it is verified.
