Just got a simple question, but how accurate is the AMCAS gpa calculator excel program?
I got my undergrad at a quarter-based school system and took 1 year at a semester based system. Simply put, now that I'm taking my pre-reqs at a semester based school and getting good grades my gpa with the amcas calculator is higher than the gpa on my transcript due to the extra weight the gpa calculator gives to semester based schools.
3.51 gpa on transcript.. 3.56 gpa by the calculator.
Yea it's small, but it's important to me because my goal is a 3.6 by the time I'm done with pre-reqs!
