Anyone know if ACEP Chicago (scientific assembly) is the ACEP conference that most 3rd years attend? I know my program send us to "ACEP" in 3rd year and I know it is in Chicago. The ACEP website does not really highlight the schedule yet, but I want to book dates at the conference hotel now for my family to go with me. Any ideas?

I find the conference hotels are usually pretty expensive for medium quality accomodations. If you go to google or yahoo maps, find the covention hotel and then add the hotels in the area, you'll likely find better deals on the net.

ACEP is an easy convention to go to a cheaper hotel without much pain. With the bus system they use, you can actually just a find a hotel by ANY of the ACEP hotels, and you can just walk next door, across the street to the bus stop, and you're golden.

With smaller "one hotel" meetings like SAEM, etc, it's more of a pain to go to a different hotel. The downside is that you can't run up to your room, etc, in between meetings.
