VSLO dates flexible

Does anyone know if VSLO dates are flexible at all. My block doesn't line up with my number one spot I want to apply to and it doesn't say the blocks offered are set in stone like some places do. Should i still apply and if accepted ask if it can be moved?

I've heard some schools are more flexible than others and you can email them and let them know ahead time. Others have a custom date option
