Here are some suggestions from my department president, the last line is funny:
If your are among the fortunate ones going to the Emerald City for ACEP, here are unsolicited suggestions.

South end of Lake Union--mid town--Seattle Seaplanes. Get 4 or so together. 45 min trip. They will fly you over Gates' place in Medina. Ask them to fly you over the sub base at Bangor and see how quick your flight comes to an end. Worth the $$, Amazing. Short Cab Ride

Walk the Waterfront and Aquarium: go out the back way from Pike Place Market
University District/University Avenue: University Bookstore and Campus half a day.
Fisherman's Terminal Area. Cab ride, Amazing, largest fishing fleet on the West coast, great walking around area Good restaurant ? name
Ferry to Bambridge Island and back: Great trip. 45' each way. From main terminal on waterfront. Walk-on easy. Done so return is in early evening and Rainer is out can present an amazing sight. Wine suggested.
Best sundown visuals for a nice day: Share cab with some others to Magnolia bluff area. Follow the residential street as it winds around and you and the cabbie will know when to stop. Tell em to pick you up after sundown or take a bus back. Trust me on this one.
Go to Pioneer Square Area. Bookstores, stadiums, restaurants, eclectic. Short cab ride or great walk.
Paul Allen's Music Experience ( temple to Jimmy Hendrix, and others) in Seattle Center.
Air Museum at Boeing Field. Paul Allen parks his 757 here. He is a sissy.
Fish off the Montlake Bridge by Health Sciences Center/Univ Hospital and Stadium. See if you can hook my pitched anatomy/physiology books and those of 8 classmates. One of them actually accompanied his books into the water. Check out the height of the drop for that jump. The eight remaining on the bridge too stunned to move right away. Were sure he could not fly but hoped he could swim. Survival only due to inebriation and a passing boat underneath the bridge he cleared by maybe 10 feet. Voice now high pitched. Legend in his own time for that stunt. Improvised plaque commemorating the event placed on bridge removed multiple times by the city until we got too old to care or remember. He is double boarded in ENT and IM and lives in Idaho.
That's it. My memory banks are toast. If it rains do all the above anyway and suck it up. If you dare to carry an umbrella they know you are from out of town AND are a sissy.
