Acetylcholine stimulates almost ALL muscle - excitatory in skeletal muscle, and inhibitory in cardiac muscle. You NEED to know this, because it shows up everywhere.

Norepinephrine indirectly stimulates both skeletal and cardiac muscle via the "fight-or-flight" response.

Thanks! Do you know if either stimulate or inhibit smooth muscle/ intestinal motility?
 
I would guess that norepinephrine inhibits smooth muscle of the intestine; acetylcholine would have excitatory effects because it is part of the PS nervous system.
 
^ I think you've got it backwards. NorEpi excites smooth muscle most of the time, while ACh usually inhibits it.

Pretty sure NorEpi can cause both excitation and inhibition of smooth muscle, depending on the receptor type (alpha and beta - yes there are also alpha and beta receptors for cardiac muscles, but they're different types). Highly doubt they care about specific smooth muscle receptors on the DAT though.

I don't think they even test you on most of the specific receptor types like nociceptors, thermoreceptors, mechanoreceptors, chemoreceptors, etc. Very generalized.
