You are the MAN!

could someone with achiever post those questions by kitman in this thread? I really dont feel like spending the money to buy achiever just for the bio questions. thanks

#4 - The static allele frequencies, leading possibly to threat of extinction among the cheetah population, is closely related to a condition called

answer - genetic equil.

# 14 - The ecological efficiency is only 5% from one trophic level to the next. For every 250 J of energy required by the secondary consumers, what is the minimum amount of energy the primary producers will have to generate?

answer - 100,000J

# 24 - Which of the following accounts best describes an exponential growth in a population?

answer - birth rate exceeds death rate

Ill post the other laters if nobody else does. cheers! 😀

what's wrong with cheetah???

if 250 is 5%, shouldn't 100 % be 5000J ?

Secondary consumer is two trophic levels below the primary producer so you need to run the equation twice or take .05^2 when you divide.

And thanks for posting these, potentially huge help.

You really need to get Achiever (and Topscore). These questions are the ones that HE got on his test, it doesn't mean that you may not see completely different questions. The real power of these practice tests comes not in memorizing rote answers but to simulate the testing environment and to just cover the basics.

you are lucky. some of my bio questions were similar to dat achiever.
you bio section looks a lot easier than mine.

Are you saying this person simply got lucky and wouldn't have done well otherwise?

i have topscore and i am not relying on the questions he got to show up on my test but theres no harm in knowing the ones he got if someone can post them up.

Gluck ppl...

May i know when did u take your DAT?

Can someone explain #14 for me? I'm not understanding....

--- sorry guys i am in chicago for the past day and half...so did not respond to nething...
Okay...
-- took my dat on aug 14th at Purdue...btw had to drive a hr to get the stupid testing center...
-- who knows may be i did get lucky with the bio...but I have a M.S. in physio so.. i should have done way better than what I have done...in fact i should have gotten a 30...hahah
-- achiever is probably the closest thing to the real thing in terms of natural sciences...so some ppl who jus want the qts posted ..umm..i think u should buy it b/c the gen chem qts were similar as well and so was organic...the only thing which was totally different is hte amt of calculations on the real thing..there were none...the ans choices were all set up in eqtn form for u...
--Good luck guys...

For all you folks out there who are taking the DAT and dont have DAT achiever... GET IT! Trust me, it is fantastic especially the PAT part. Yes there are some questions on achiever that are similar to the real DAT, but there are also similar questions in every section. The point is here that you all need to pony up and buy achiever, its only 50 bucks for crying out loud. By the way, good luck on the DAT 🙂
