they are indeed inundated. i recommend you chill and assume they got it. also recommend you send everything USPS delivery confirmation if you think you're the type to get wound up and post about it on SDN (i am, and i did)

When I emailed my update to the school, I specifically asked if someone would kindly email me notification that it had been received and added to my file. They did.

I've sent about 15 update letters and maybe 8 have acknowledged. In my experience, the ones that don't answer don't add them to your file. I even got waitlisted at a school last cycle and they never answered me! lame

Sinai
UCLA
UCI
USC (replied that they do not accept updates)
Cincinnati
Wake
SUNY Upstate

Note: three of my four invites so far came from schools I sent updates to. Maybe it works, maybe not?

Thanks guys for the help, maybe I'll call/email the ones that didn't get back to me to either get confirmation or re-send. I did call them all ahead of time to make sure they accepted update letters, and they all said to email it in. So I feel it's ok to follow up.
