Update letters

Is it generally advised to include completed hours on update letters? I recently submitted one about a new volunteer position and I only talked about my reflections and how it fits in with the school's mission..

You've submitted it. It's water under the bridge now. If it is a new position, I would presume you've not done many hours so what would be the point of saying how many hours? Is that the important point of doing the work or is the reason for doing the work to help where you can?
