I'm considering going to the ACP meeting in May in DC. It's free for student members. However, it's a little expensive hotel wise with even the Econolodge in Laurel being $70 a night. Of course, the closer ones and nicer ones cost more.

Is anyone else considering going and might want to try to split a hotel room or something? I'm open to rooming with anyone of either sex.

I was just spoiled by the MARC meeting last week where I spent $95 for the entire conference which included the Washington Court hotel, but I had a roommate.

Why don't you try AirBnB? I'm from DC and there are a ton of private rooms available if you're willing to stay in someone else's apartment. As long as it's walkable to a metro, it can be a bit removed from the center of DC.

That is an option I am considering as well, although I do tend to worry about things I've read about AirBnB.

I was hoping someone or a group of someones would like to split a hotel closer to the area ideally.

I feel like I am missing something although I am tired and on meds.

I'm a gay identified female to male transsexual, who normally rooms with men. However since I am a ftm and gay identified, many straight women are comfortable with me and when I take my vacation in a few months, a straight woman will be my roommate Perhaps I needed to specify any gender given there are more than two.

What part of "female to male transsexual" are you not understanding? I have been on SDN since 2009 and am one of the best known people on this forum as sad as that is.

Perhaps if I know what part of being transsexual you are not understanding I can help address the issue before you meet any of my transbrothers and transsisters as patients.
