My number one state school just sent me a letter to inform that I am on their Alternate List, which at this point of the game, I don't think holds much possibilities that I would be offered a spot. However, to keep the hope alive, if I were to get accepted off of the List, traffic rules state that students cannot take another offer after May 01, should they have gotten accepted to one dental school. So does that mean regardless if my state does offer me a spot later, I am pretty much denied of it already, because I have been accepted to an out of state school?

Anybody know anything on this? It will be much appreciated if I have some input in this.

Thanks.

I could be completely wrong, but I think it means you can only hold 1 acceptance offer after May 1. A waitlist position is obviously not an acceptance, so I think you could retain that AND your acceptance. But if you DO get offered acceptance off the waitlist, then obviously you'll have to choose one over the other. Take your state school, but immediately inform your other school that you'll be withdrawing your acceptance from them, or vice versa.

Again, that's what I THINK it's referring to.

that thing only applies to TEXAS schools (TMDSAS traffic rules)

they DO NOT care about OOS schools.
