hi guys, this is my first time on any forum.
im 4rm pakistan, and currently in final year of bds.i looks my future in australia and read a bit about ADC exam.i need some, indeed a lot of guidance regarding how to go about this.
to start with, just need to know some basic things. can i appear for ADC exam without doing my house job (doesnt mean im good with it)? and secondly plz guide me regarding the financial aspect of the game means how much money should we have at the least for the complete process and lastly the most terrible but equally important part: what, what to study and from where, like books and everything else? i will really appreciate any help in this regards and hopes to listen from u guys soon

hi guys.... i am planning to appear in this exam in 2014 also... best way to get info is to refer to adc website.... www.adc.org.au. a new examination process will start in 2014 ... we have to wait for them to update as they are making changes in the procedure.

So I sat the preliminary written exam in March 2013 and was unsuccessful 🙁
I am planning to resit it in March 2014.
I will be in Melbourne from September and will also be looking for a serious study partner if anyone is interested?
My advise..do not underestimate this exam. It is tough and I studied for two months which was not enough preparation. I found a lot of questions came from Boucher's MCQ. The short answer questions, at the time I felt I did OK, but obviously I did not provide the answers they were looking for. This is where I feel a group support would be beneficial.

I gave ADC part 1 in march 2013 and cleared.

The mcqs were a pleasant surprise. Very straightforward and related to stuff that a general dentist should know from his daily practice. A word of caution though, some mcqs seem to have two correct answers at first glance and you must think before you put one down. So, not hard just confusing.

The seqs are easy. You get a clinical case with radiographs etc.

All straightforward. After the exam we were joking that instead of checking your dental knowledge ADC checks your command of the English language. While going through the questions afterwards it became apparent that ppl gave wrong answers just because they did not completely comprehend what was asked of them.

No SAQ questions, only MCQ.*
4 papers, you have to pass all of them to pass, unlike the old process.*
Results will be online.
Deadline is Nov. 15th

Hey the university will have a format of the transcript so you don't need to bother ,just get in touch with your college and they'll ask you the fee and request the transcript on your behalf it will be sealed so do not open it needs to be sent like that only .

Hi I am a dentist from India..now in Australia.. i am also thinking to take exam next year.. But I am not done with the initial assessment yet. Can anyone please let me know about the transcripts? In the checklist ADC has written they need certified copies of transcripts? So if we dont open the seal how can we get them certified?
