Adcoms: Do schools interview during the "holiday weeks" in December/January (12/21-1/3ish?)

Just wondering if I can safely plan a vacation or break without having to anticipate an II.

One school (that has been shamed to death on this forum lol) emailed me last week and essentially told me the date of an interview this week (did not give me a choice), and strongly implied that I should not reschedule or I would risk forfeiting my II.

Adcom members are human too. We're looking forward just as much to spending time with our families and loved ones during the holidays, moreso this year due to COVID-19. Can't speak for all schools, but you should be fine to plan a vacation around that time. Since most interviews are being done virtually this year, you can always pack an interview top in the unlikely event you get an II in that time period.

Highly unlikely given that most schools have a holiday break during that time and the facilities are closed.
