Adding additional schools after submitting AMCAS?

I'm still a little unclear about this, since I've read contradictory things. If I submit my AMCAS application for verification/certification/whatever, then add more schools at a later date before the application has been verified, does that cause *any* delay whatsoever, or is it as simple as just tacking on a new name to the end of the list? I'm finished with the application, but I'm not sure about which schools I'll be applying to. I don't want to submit it, add a few schools over the next few days, but then have my application go to the bottom of the pile or anything like that.

I know a lot of you have already submitted -- could someone clarify this? Thanks.

I don't know what happens if you add more schools while waiting to be verified. I'd *guess* they'd just be tacked on and your spot in line wouldn't change.

I do know that if you submit and then add schools after it's been verified, your app goes straight to the new schools... no waiting, unless you changed something else on your app.

When you add schools after your primary app. is verified, do you simply pay $30 per each added school or is there any additional "processing" fee?

Having done this before...

You can add more schools at any point in processing or after and it does not delay you or bump you to the back of the line.

The cost is $30 dollars (per school), there is no additional processing fee.

to badasshairday and OP, why not just make a list of the schools you want to add and then right when you find out you are verified add those schools??? This way you arent taking any chance , you will be verified ASAP, and then the schools you add will also be notified right away after you pay the 30 dollars since you are already verified and ready to go. Thats what I would do at least.
