Hey yall,

After submitting my AMCAS a few months ago, I added a certain school a month or so afterwards, including 3 LOR. However, I just got an email saying the school requires 4 LOR, apparently. Whenever I go back into the medical school tab in AMCAS and try to add the new LOR, the "resubmit application" is grayed out on the main AMCAS menu. How do you correctly add LORs after sending your primary to a school? Thanks.

Typically search for their Point of Contact / Admissions Dept on their website and send it as a PDF. Explain what happened. The overwhelming majority of admissions staff are super kind people and they know first hand how many moving parts are during interview season.

Hope this helps,

Hi everyone, just looking for an opinion here. Back in August when I was completing a secondary, I was supposed to have an individual letter that was going to be sent to just one of my schools. I never created a space for the letter in AMCAS but I put that they should expect to receive one on the secondary. I did get a committee letter but the woman who was supposed to write the individual letter had something personal happen and she was no longer able to do it. They extended me an interview invite (which I'm assuming is because I still met their minimum requirement of having the committee letter). Im wondering if I should email them prior to the interview to let them know that they should not expect to receive a letter or if it even matters to them considering that they still offered the interview.
