hey, guys....so a lot of these secondaries ask for "additional information" of X-length, either in addition to other essays or on their own. i was wondering what you guys are doing for the schools that don't ask for any other essays. are you just using this space to write why this particular med school or using one of your other additional info essays about another topic in this space? i don't have any particular grades or anything i want to explain, so i was thinking about using, say, one of my Mount Sinai essays (they had specific prompts) or something for the add'l info prompt for, say, Jeff. it just seems like it might get boring if everyone write why this-or-that school. any insights?

jot

i think i just ended up recycling answers to questions on other seconadries that gave some extra insight into me. wasn't necessarily school specific, just hopefully something interesting that isn't anywher else on the app.

i think i'm gonna do that, too, jot...sounds much more interesting to me than babbling about the program, especially for schools that don't have too much info on their websites (e.g. TJU).

anyone else??

I think recycling the answers is a great idea, since you're already writing so much stuff! Another idea is to take any little bit of your AMCAS essay (a research or volunteer experience, for example) and expound on it in more detail. Anything additional info that highlights your uniqueness will help the Adcomm get a better picture of you.

Good luck!
