Additional Rec Letter for Waitlist applicant

I was wondering if anyone has sent out additional rec letters after they've been waitlisted or put on hold by any schools. And if so did you have the letter writer send it directly to that school's admissions office? or did you have to go through your undergrad's rec letter service again? thanks a lot guys

I would imagine that you could send the letter however you choose.

I don't know if it would help, but you really have nothing to lose at this point. The worst thing that could happen is that they would throw it away without reading it.
