I am thinking of using Liza Thompson Consulting... I have seen the testimonials on her site and they seem compelling. I would use SDN, however I am not an excellent writer nor interviewer.

Has anyone personally or heard of anyone who has had good results with her services?

Thanks!

If you want to drop some cash for information you find on the internet for free, then go right ahead. These types of agencies prey on applicants who can't be bothered to take the initiative to figure it out themselves. Are you also going to hire a consultant when you apply for residency? For a job? It's time to grow up and put on some big boy pants.

I was looking into it because SDN has a lot of ambivalent opinions...

In case anyone is still reading this thread and considering using Liza Thompson Consulting. As a previous client of hers who purchased the premier package: while I felt that working with her allowed me to be more structured and organized throughout the medical school application process, I found her to be very money-oriented and not willing to do more than the bare minimum when it came to advising and edits/revisions on the application materials. I had a good application cycle, but her services are incredibly expensive, and I felt that what I got from her didn't justify her steep prices. I would recommend looking elsewhere.
