Should I be worried about a situation like the following?

I called an admissions office today about scheduling an interview. I submitted the information they requested with my preferred days of the week and preferred days listed. Some of the dates I requested are coming up, but I haven't heard back from them yet, so I called in to check. After explaining this to the person who answered the phone, I was chastised for putting down specific dates. I was told that I was supposed to put down only available days of the week, not request specific dates. I apologized, but when I went back to look at my copy of the form, it explicitly says that "You may also indicate specific date(s)." I was allowed to book an interview date, but will this negatively reflect on me, since it looks (to them) like I didn't follow directions?

I'm sure no one has even made a note of it and it won't go to the committeee of faculty members that makes a decision.

Don't worry about something that minor...they have way too many applicants to even care or make a note about that...probably just someone in the admissions office who is super crabby-I've talked to sooo many of those!...nothing to worry about!

I wouldn't worry about it. It sounds like the person that you talked to was on pms. Their job is to answer the damn phone and to talk to nervous and stressed out pre-meds. It's not like you're paying hundreds of dollars to apply to their school or anything. 🙄

and it sounds like you followed the instructions that they outlined for you. i don't know why i'm getting angry over this. I guess I just hate rude people!
