I am curious to know what are the advancement opportunities in retail pharmacy (ex. staff pharmacist, pharmacy manager, district manager) and given the increase responsibility is the extra pay worth the hassle. It appears to me from previous posts that initially pharmacy is a great salary however one does not see a significant increase in salary in regards to years of experience\seniority or increased levels of managerial responsibility. Are there other perks like executive stock options or huge bonuses offered to upper management to lure staff pharmacist to take on more for very little more in terms of salary? There has to be more than I am aware of. I dont currently work in a retail pharmacy and was hoping someone with some knowledge on here could enlighten me. Thanks,
