Hi all,
I recently interviewed at UTMB and am wondering if there is an advantage/higher chance of acceptance for interviewing early there or other TX schools for that matter? From my knowledge, I interviewed at the second earliest date possible and I believe my interview went spectacularly well! I'm not particularly familiar with the pre-match statistics for each TX school and the correlations between interview dates/acceptances. Thanks!

You're good my man! As the assistant dean of admissions said to us last Friday, "You (us interviewees) are the five-star quarterbacks and the schools are trying to recruit you. You aren't trying to recruit the schools."

To answer your question, interviewing early cannot hurt and most likely helps.

All it does is make you eligible for prematching. You can still be waitlisted and rejected (happened to me before).
