I have interview invites to UVM and NYMC. Can’t say I expected it considering my LM is only 67.5 (granted I have over 6000 hours of ems and 5000 hours of research so maybe they actually do holistic reviews like they say haha)

But I was wondering if there are any insights on the meaning, if any, of early interview invites? Does this make it more likely for me to be accepted or waitlisted since it’s so early?

Someone's got to be the first to be interviewed... congratulations. Now prepare for your interviews. (Yes, I'm confident Vermont and NYMC have holistic review processes, but stop impostering yourself.)

It really depends on the school. Some schools, like UChicago and Georgetown, are currently reviewing apps in order of completion date. In these cases, I doubt an early interview has any meaning.

Other schools, like NYU and Northwestern, do not review apps in order. In these cases, it's certainly possible that an early interview indicates higher interest from the school and thus a higher chance of acceptance, but nothing is guaranteed!

Either way, congratulations on your interviews! NYMC has a 71% post-interview acceptance rate when factoring in waitlist movement, so I'd say you have a great shot at an acceptance.
May I ask where you got that 71% from?
