So I will be taking the exam on week from today (the June 16th) administration and thus far I have taken AAMC; 5,7,8,9 and am seeing a terrible trend in my verbal score. My sciences are always 11-12 so I am comfortable there but my scores are hovering between 7-8 for my verbal.

I've been working hard the past couple of weeks at EK 101 passages and POE techniques but the biggest problem seems to be my timing and understanding the passages.

If I don't improve in the next couple practice tests should I have my exam voided on test day and just study Verbal for the next month or so and retake or should I score it and retake if my verbal score is not where I want it to be.

Also most of the schools I am applying to have a lowest 10% for verbal between a 7 and an 8.

Thanks for you help in advance

for ek 101, i found my score jumped two points from what I was getting so if you're getting 7-8 expect an 8-9 on the real thing..maybe even 10

How have your post game analysis been like? I know after I started thinking about why I had gotten certain Qs wrong, my scores greatly improved. I went from a 9 to a 11 in a week!!

I don't know, I think I am learning why I got questions wrong, and I feel comfortable with POE, my only problem is understanding the passages. Honestly I do fine on EK 101 tests scoring around 9-11, even when I time myself but for some reason when I have that AAMC exam in front of me it's a whole different ball game and I lose track of what I am doing.

My breakdowns are

AAMC:
#5 vr: 8
#7 vr: 8
#8 vr: 6
#9 vr: 7

I honestly think I would be improving after reviewing but that doesn't seem to be the case. I would be happy with an 8 but I'm so afraid that I won't get there on the real thing.
