First of all, thanks for reading my post... I'm looking to switch careers to dentistry. I took my undergrad 10+ years ago, I just received my transcripts yesterday... Here's what I have:

B.S. Computer Science and Engineering
Overall GPA: 2.7
Pre-dental Bio/Chem/Physics GPA: 2.89
I took come upper bio courses and if you factor that in then bio/chem/physics GPA: 2.51

M.S. Computer Science and Engineering
GPA: 3.67

As you can see, my undergraduate GPA is pretty bad... Life throws curve-balls, and for me it was during my undergraduate... Since then, I've gone on to have a successful career as a software architect, I'm actively involved in the tech community, and am a speaker at both the local and national levels.

There is probably a class or 2 that I need to round out the pre-dental prequisites.

So the question is, if I do well in those remaining classes and also do well on the DAT, will I still be competitive for dental school? I am trying to avoid retaking the pre-reqs because going back to school is not an "approved" activity by my company... And I need my job to support my family. Luckily I work from home, so I can take the remaining classes during the day... I think I can manage doing this for a semester or 2 without raising suspicion but anything longer would be pretty impossible...

I'd appreciate any thoughts or advice you might have.

post up what grades you got in your pre-dent pre-reqs.

They dont care about your computer science gpa man. I had a 4.0 in cs for undergrad and pretty close to that in masters.

But they dont care about that we are high risk. you have to show many bio classes 5-6 more than bio i and II and you need to get good grades like A or B+ nothing lower. Then once you get your gpa over 3.0. then take dat and get 19+ then apply you will get in.
